POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, assists in monitoring and coordinating plant environmental health and safety programs, including safety inspections, accident investigations, and safety training.
MIN. REQUIREMENTS:
1. D3/D4/S1 from any related field
2. Minimum 5 year as HSE Specialist
3. Holding active certificate General AK3
4. CPR/First Aid certification a plus
5. Understanding of HSE Regulation and Procedure
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy.
8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Participates in the development and implementation of plant-wide safety programs such as lockout/tagout, confined space entry, fire protection, and other OSHA safety compliance programs.
2. Advises the plant community regarding safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of employee, as well as regulatory compliance as mandated by local, state, and federal agencies, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and New Indonesia Environment Department.
3. Performs hazard analyses and recommends mitigation procedures to the plant community.
4. Participates in the development and implementation of department safety work order tracking and reporting.
5. Conducts routine and follow-up environmental health, safety and hazard inspections of plant facilities.
6. Responds to emergency situations involving hazardous materials, fire and smoke incidents, or unknown hazards; prepares reports of findings and submits recommendations.
7. Analyzes accident and incident reports for trends; makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions and actions.
8. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
