Job Role / Job Overview
The Quality Assurance Manager leads Quality Department and will report directly to the General Manager.
Manage overall quality system of Volex Batam comprises of incoming parts, in process and outgoing and customer’s quality of Volex Indonesia.
Experience is required as QA Manager or Senior Manager from previous Company(ies).,e.g. Quality System, manufacturing background.
Responsibilities
• Manage overall factory quality
• Manage, monitor and motivate quality assurance team for Volex Batam
• Be the decision maker for stopping production that affects the quality of the product produced and the final decision maker on quality for Volex Batam.
• Meet with customer if required at customer’s factory for meeting on quality and other required meetings.
• Spear head the customer & Safety audits for Volex Batam
• Liaison with suppliers and ensure effective incoming inspection system to increase incoming quality level.
• Manages for any verification, investigations and analysis of raw material quality problems. Follow-up on supplier’s corrective actions to ensure raw materials problems are resolved.
• Reviews suppliers’ Cpk to ensure suppliers’ processes are statistically capable in producing good parts.
• Manage the certification of vendors and co-ordinate the audit for various sites.
• Lead and monitor supplier management plan together with Overseas QA sites
• Management Representative in maintaining Quality Management System for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 13485.
• Operation Instruction to reflect actual working procedures as part of Quality System maintenance.
• Expedites and follow-up on Corrective Actions on all non-conformance of the Quality System.
• Schedules, plans and manage Internal Quality Audits.
• To support and participation in Customer Audit in Volex Asia (VA) and Overseas sites if required.
• Responsible for document control of Quality Manuals, Procedures, Operation Instructions, Drawings and others as assigned by the management.
• Monitor and evaluate internal controls which could be against standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
To be a successful candidate, the requirements are:
• University Degree in Engineering discipline, preferably in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 to 15 years of Manufacturing experience in Quality Assurance of which at least 5 years in Management level.
• Able to communicate well in professional English, speaking Mandarin is an advantage (optional).
• Problem solving experience to identify potential risks related to Quality Assurance requirements.
• Strong leadership and can manage working closely with global multi-functional teams
